Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Englewood, Colorado. The position requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse and may include RN first assistant duties.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients, provide pre- and post-surgery care and education, and work with circulating, scrub, or RNFA duties.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and potential RN first assistant.
• ACLS and BLS required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Act as liaison between patients/families and the operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care.
