Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of direct liver transplant or transplant OR experience.
• Strong, recent experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplantation.
• Demonstrated experience placing transplanted organs into recipients; procurement-only experience does not meet the requirement.
• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Florida RN license or eligible licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled perioperative nursing care for complex transplant and general surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and the broader multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain infection prevention, universal protocol, time-out procedures, fire and laser safety standards.
• Apply knowledge of general OR procedures including transplant-specific techniques (Whipple, organ donation) and wound management.
• Float within RN scope as needed to support safe patient care and department operations.

This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an RN with recent transplant operating room experience who is confident with recipient procedures—not solely organ procurement—and who enjoys supporting students and new staff.
