Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room RN for a travel assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating, scrub, or possibly RN First Assistant, with 10-hour shifts and a 40-hour week on a 13-week contract.

You will support physicians and staff in the operating suite, perform pre- and post-surgery education, and handle circulating or scrub duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• ACLS and BLS required; additional certifications may be required before start.
• Travel RN in OR with 10-hour shifts and 40 hours/week for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record medications.
• Communicate with families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure on correct patient.
• Educate patients on home care and medications.
• Assist circulating OR nurses with safety and comfort.
• Inventory and handle specimens.
• Monitor surgical equipment.
• Inventory of surgical items.
• Deliver direct surgical care.
• Help control bleeding.
• Suture patients after surgery.
