Shift

• Days (8 or 10-hour shifts)
• Typical start times: 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM

Unit Details

• 15 operating suites
• 55-70 surgical cases per day
• Hospital-based Pre-Op/Surgical Center (not a freestanding surgery center)

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong IV insertion skills (required)
• Pre-op/surgical patient care experience
• Robotics surgery knowledge preferred
• RNs perform pre-op care only (no OR scrubbing required)

Call Requirements

• 1-2 second-call shifts per month
• One 24-hour weekend call (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• 30-minute response time for call

Weekend & Holiday Requirements

• Rotating weekends (8-hour shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM on Saturday or Sunday)
• Holiday rotation includes call as needed

Floating

• May float to the OR holding/pre-op area

Charting

• Sunrise EMR (transitioning to Epic)

Additional Requirements

• BLS required
• 50-mile local radius rule
• Unexpired driver's license must be included with submission
• Any licensing/disciplinary history must be disclosed at submission

Orientation

• Surgical Center/Pre-Op department orientation
• Facility-provided scrubs
