Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Gaylord, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of Acute Care Surgery experience, an active RN license, and a nursing degree. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

This travel assignment spans 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, including day shifts and travel reimbursement. The role involves perioperative nursing duties, patient education, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
