Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. The role involves assisting in the operating room, providing perioperative care, and collaborating with the surgical team across circulating, scrub, and RN first assistant duties.

Seeking candidates with 1–2 years acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, and relevant certifications (ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC). The position is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
• 3 years OR nursing experience (circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant).
• Ability to stand/walk long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Monitor patient during surgery and ensure correct procedures are performed.
