Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Canton, MS. The Operating Room RN provides perioperative care, prepares the OR, and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Familiarity with sterile technique and perioperative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control rules.
• Anticipate team needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments, sterilization, and disposal per facility policy.
• Document care in the perioperative setting accurately.
• Assist in handoffs during pre- and post-operative phases.
