Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role offers a dynamic perioperative environment with opportunities to impact patient outcomes while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The OR RN will be responsible for preparing the OR, maintaining sterile technique, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality care during procedures. Start ASAP, 40 hours/week, days shift.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies.
• Assists in positioning patients for surgery and ensures safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies surgeon of changes.
• Handles instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use and disposal.
• Documents patient care in perioperative setting accurately.
• Participates in handoff communications before and after surgery.
