Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse for a Pearland, TX assignment. This travel RN will support circulating, scrub, and RN first assistant roles in the operating suite and provide pre- and post-surgery care. The position runs 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts.

Required certifications include ACLS and BLS; 1–2 years acute care OR experience is preferred. Stipends and benefits are offered as part of the travel package.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Potential experience as RN first assistant or as circulating RN in OR.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients before, during and after procedures.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
