Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing seeks an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Silver City, NM. The role offers a dayshift, 8-hour schedule with a 40-hour week and the chance to work with a dedicated clinical team across perioperative care.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year OR RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS. Preferred certifications (CNOR, ACLS/PALS) may be required for some facilities. Travel benefits and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with required instruments and sterile supplies.
• Assist in positioning patients and ensuring safety for surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control throughout procedures.
• Provide instruments and support to the team to maintain workflow.
• Monitor patient condition and notify surgeon of changes.
• Document patient care and perioperative activities.
• Assist in cleaning and restocking OR between cases.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols; adhere to hospital policies.
