Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse (RN) to support the operating room in Santa Fe, NM for a 13-week assignment. The role includes circulating, scrub, and potential RN first assistant duties, with daily 8-hour days and 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-surgical patient care, medication administration, education, and collaboration with the surgical team. BLS/ACLS required, 1–2 years acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• BLS and ACLS required; additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Travel nursing assignment in Santa Fe, NM for 13 weeks, 40 hours/week, days shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient status.
• Administer and document prescribed meds; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient, family, and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the patient.
• Educate patient and family on post-op care and home meds.
• Support circulating/scrub RN duties and assist RN First Assistant as needed.
