Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Mayfield Heights, OH. This role involves operating room patient care, perioperative support, and collaboration with the surgical team. Travel status, 40 hours/week, days shift, ASAP start.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of OR RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS or ENPC CNOR are preferred. Comprehensive benefits and dedicated clinical support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications (preferred).
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) (preferred).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Handles surgical instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols.
• Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport per facility rules.
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care.
• Participates in handoff communications pre- and post-operatively.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room between cases and ensures turnover efficiency.
