Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Aberdeen, SD. The RN will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for procedures.
• Positions and prepares patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains sterile field and infection control throughout procedures.
• Assists surgical team with instruments and supplies to maintain workflow.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Documents all perioperative patient care activity thoroughly.
• Participates in handoff communication pre- and post-operatively.
