Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Summit, New Jersey. The role focuses on operating room support as a circulating, scrub, or first assistant nurse, with 8 weeks duration and 36 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and can perform pre- and post-surgery care. Travel nurses will assist surgeons, manage instruments, and ensure patient safety in the OR.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel nurse assignment in Summit, NJ, 8 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Prepare instruments and assist with procedures.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications.
• Serve as liaison with patients' family and operating team.
