Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a travel assignment in York, Maine. Start date 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks. Four 9-hour shifts, 6:45 am to 4:15 pm, Mon–Thu with on-call, in a hospital OR setting.

Requirements include mandatory BLS and ACLS, OR experience as circulating and scrub nurse with orthopedic expertise; 5 years of OR experience preferred. Travel support, fast credentialing, and 24/7 recruiter assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Mandatory BLS and ACLS certifications.
• OR experience with circulating and scrub responsibilities; strong orthopedic expertise.
• 5 years of OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care as circulating and scrub nurse for orthopedic cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, surgical counts, and prep of the operative suite.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and coordinate with anesthesia.
• Uphold patient safety and aseptic technique; document events.
• Maintain OR readiness and turnover; manage equipment and implants for efficient case flow.
• Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff; participate in safety protocols and on-call duties.
