Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse – Operating Room for a travel assignment in Brockton, MA. The position runs 13 weeks with 12-hour day shifts and guaranteed 36 hours per week, starting 11/30/2026.

As circulating nurse and scrub assistant, you will support diverse OR cases, collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety. Ambulatory case exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of OR circulating experience; scrub experience strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Ambulatory case experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse and scrub assistant for a variety of OR cases, maintaining sterile technique and proper counts for instruments, needles, and specimens
• Prepare the OR, verify patient identity and surgical consent, position and drape the patient, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for use
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and ancillary staff; anticipate instrument and supply needs; manage equipment and room turnover efficiently
• Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation, monitor patient status, and uphold patient safety, infection control, and safety protocols throughout procedures
• Support ambulatory and specialty cases as assigned (examples include sports medicine, ENT, GYN, GU, Ophthalmology, plastics, general, oral, minor vascular)
• Adhere to department policies and regulatory standards; communicate effectively with the team and respond to emergent situations as needed
