Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse to travel to San Luis Obispo, CA for an OR assignment. The role requires circulating in the operating room, supporting surgeons, and ensuring sterile technique.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a start date of 2026-10-26, offering a rotating day/evening schedule and Epic experience is required. Requirements include CA RN licensure, ADN (BSN preferred), and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California required.
• Associates degree in nursing required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Hospital OR experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and Trauma preferred; CNOR a plus.
• Epic experience required; rotating shifts and on-call capability expected.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the OR, assist surgeons and anesthesia providers, coordinate equipment flow.
• Prepare patients for surgery, perform safe positioning and preop assessment.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and contribute to perioperative planning.
• Safely handle biohazardous materials and manage instruments and supplies.
• Access facility systems to retrieve patient data and document care in the chart.
• Support post-procedure handoffs to PACU or inpatient units and ensure safety.
