Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. This role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant, with 40 hours per week and a standard 8-hour day shift.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will support surgeons and staff, manage instruments and the sterile field, and provide patient education.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on 8-hour days in San Luis Obispo.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Support pre- and post-operative care and education.
• Prepare instruments and manage the sterile field.
• Monitor patient during surgery and report complications.
• Educate patients and families on home care.
