Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR Circulate for a travel assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will support physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients, perform pre- and post-surgery education, and work within the operating suite to ensure safe patient care and efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required or preferred.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as RN circulating/scrub nurse or RN first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Assist OR team as circulating, scrub, or first assistant.
• Prepare, administer, and record medications as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families pre- and post-surgery.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the right patient.
• Maintain instrument readiness and assist with instrument handling.
