Job Summary

Surgical Technician, Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician. The Surgical Technician provides technical assistance and supports patient safety during surgical and endoscopic procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, preparing equipment and instruments, supporting the sterile field, and coordinating patient care throughout procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/11/202602/10/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Ability to prepare operating rooms and equipment, maintain a sterile field, clean and sterilize instruments, assist with surgical procedures, handle specimens, transport patients, document required reports, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed.
• Additional Information: The role supports surgical and endoscopic procedures and requires knowledge of the ages of patients served. Duties include coordinating care with the circulating Registered Nurse, organizing instrumentation, monitoring equipment, preparing instruments for sterilization, and maintaining a cooperative disposition in the operating room.
