Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) for travel assignments in multiple specialties. The role involves preparing the sterile field, transporting patients, and assisting surgeons with instruments across Orthopedics, General, Urology, Podiatry and Otolaryngology.

Candidates must have BLS certification; CST certification is preferred. The position operates on 5x8 shifts (6:30am–3:00pm), with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical instruments and prepare the sterile field.
• Transport patients and assist surgeons during procedures (passing instruments, holding retractors, etc.).
• Scrub across Ortho, General, Uro, Podiatry and ENT as needed.

Position:CHS Travel: Operating Room Technician (ORT) - 5/8's

Position Information:

Operating room technicians (ORT) are licensed practical nurses with advanced skills who provide assistance to surgeons, nurses and other medical personnel during a surgery. Often called scrubs or surgical technologists, operating room technicians handle a variety of responsibilities: setting up surgical instruments before a surgery, transporting patients to the operating room and assisting surgeons with surgical procedures (i.e., passing instruments, holding retractors, cutting sutures, etc.)

Shift: 5x8's- 6:30am - 3:00pm - Mon - Fri

On Call as Needed

Needs to be able to scrub most specialties including Ortho, General, Uro, Podiatry, ENT

CST Certification - Preferred

BLS - Required
