Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Travel Operating Room Technician (ORT) to support surgical teams across multiple specialties. This role requires scrubbing in, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures while providing patient transport and intraoperative support.

The ideal candidate is a licensed practical nurse with CST certification preferred, BLS current, and able to scrub ortho, general, uro, podiatry, and ENT cases.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• LPN with OR experience is preferred.
• Ability to scrub most specialties (Ortho, General, Uro, Podiatry, ENT).

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical instruments before procedures.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist surgeons.
• Pass instruments, hold retractors, and assist with sutures.
• Provide general intraoperative support per surgical team.

Position Information:

Operating room technicians (ORT) are licensed practical nurses with advanced skills who provide assistance to surgeons, nurses and other medical personnel during a surgery. Often called scrubs or surgical technologists, operating room technicians handle a variety of responsibilities: setting up surgical instruments before a surgery, transporting patients to the operating room and assisting surgeons with surgical procedures (i.e., passing instruments, holding retractors, cutting sutures, etc.)

Shift: 5x8's -- 0630 - 1500 -- Mon - Fri

On Call as Needed

Needs to be able to scrub most specialties including Ortho, General, Uro, Podiatry, ENT

CST Certification - Preferred

BLS - Required
