Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficiency in handling open heart and vascular surgical cases.
• Ability to perform duties both within and outside the sterile field.

• Typical caseload averages 6 open heart and vascular cases per day
• Weekday shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• Weekend call required
• Prepare and position patients for CVOR procedures
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist and ensure accurate documentation of care
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of team members during urgent or emergent situations
• Serve as communication liaison for family and operating team members
• Participate in assigned call schedule
• Maintain and manage supplies and equipment effectively
• Adhere to department efficiency standards and contribute to daily operations
• Professional growth encouraged through participation in educational activities
