Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in orthopedic and outpatient surgical procedures in a dedicated ambulatory setting. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting surgical teams across general, hybrid, and trauma operating environments. The position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work experience tailored for skilled OR nursing professionals.

Job Details:

• Location: Ambulatory surgical center focusing on orthopedic procedures
• Shift: 8-hour days, with a schedule typically 5 days per week
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license, minimum 2 years of operating room experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ambulatory/outpatient surgeries, experience using community hospital charting systems, proficiency in arthroscopy equipment such as Arthrex arthroscopy tools, Hana Table for hips, Jackson Table for spine, Neptune fluid and smoke evacuation systems.
• Schedule: 8-hour days, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Patient Care Details: Supporting adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations with approximately 25 procedures per day in a facility with 3 operating rooms.
• Additional Information: Knowledge of ambulatory/outpatient care, orthopedics/spine/total joint procedures, pain assessment/management, conscious sedation, operative consent protocols, and relevant infection control practices is essential. Float may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
• Travel Experience Required: No
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; Illinois state licensure must be active at time of submission.
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off; candidates must be flexible to work two out of three major holidays.
• Other Requirements: Candidate must complete all compliance modules and documentation within the specified timeframe and be pre-closed at time of submission, including SSN and DOB disclosures.
