Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a Level III Trauma facility. The role involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety, and supporting efficient surgical workflows. The shifts are scheduled for evenings, with hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment duration is approximately three months, starting on 09/28/2026 and concluding on 12/28/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 2+ years of OR nursing experience, ability to work split call shifts including weekdays and weekends, general, orthopedic, obstetrics and gynecology, robotics, urology, hand, and podiatry surgical experience. Valid fingerprint clearance for New Mexico travelers is mandatory.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, additional experience with surgical specialties, adaptability to a Level III Trauma environment.
• Additional Information: The circulating nurse in the OR is responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, robotics, urology, hand surgery, and podiatry. Candidates should have high clinical judgment, excellent multitasking skills, and ability to adapt to varying surgical needs. Scrubs are hospital laundered and available. The EMR systems used are Medhost and PICIS. No floating requirements are expected for this assignment.
• Note: The maximum RTO allowed is 1 week. The position includes support for unit coverage 24/7 through split call rotations among OR nurses.
