Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel RN in Charlestown, MA for LTAC Oncology with 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week assignment. Start date: 09/20/2026. Requires 1 year LTAC/acute care experience, RN license and BLS, with licensure eligibility and possible additional certifications.

Ideal candidate will handle ventilator care, complex wound management, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining infection control and patient safety as priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification and state licensure eligibility required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and promptly respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vital signs and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs of patients.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards.
• Document care activities accurately and in real time.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
