Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts are days on a 12-week assignment with weekly pay.
You will administer chemotherapy, monitor treatment responses and educate patients and families. Requires RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least 1 year of oncology RN experience.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
- ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
- Minimum one year of oncology RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
