Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Oncology for a travel assignment in Cumming, GA. The 13‑week role starts 10/05/2026, with 40 guaranteed hours per week and a 4×10‑hour day shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM), Monday through Thursday, in a hospital setting.

You will provide direct oncology nursing care, administer chemotherapy, monitor patients, and coordinate with physicians and pharmacists. Active RN license, 2+ years oncology experience, chemotherapy certification, and AHA BLS/NIH

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• Chemo certification with the ability to administer chemotherapy.
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications.
• RN with hospital-based oncology setting eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of cancer treatment and symptom management plans.
• Administer chemotherapy per certification, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure strict chemotherapy safety and handling protocols.
• Monitor patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and treatment responses; document findings in the patient record and communicate changes to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive oncology care and ensure smooth care transitions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and symptom management; support informed decision-making and adherence to safety procedures.
• Maintain compliance with AHA BLS and NIH certifications; uphold infection control and safety standards in all nursing duties.
