Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Oncology Infusion RN with OCN certification for a day-shift assignment in Virginia. The role requires EPIC/Beacon experience and an active VA RN license (or compact).

Expect high standards of patient care in an outpatient infusion unit with a 1:4 patient ratio and a 8-chair/2-private room setting. The position features a day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) five days per week, with potential floating based on facility needs and a focus on

Qualifications

• Active VA RN license or compact license in hand.
• BLS and chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required.
• OCN certification required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• NIH and stroke education required.
• Specialty experience within the last year required.
• No travel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic infusion suite with 8 chairs and 2 private bedrooms.
• Oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy, immune/biotherapies, blood products, antibiotics, and other infusions/injections.
• Expected patient ratio of 1:4.
• Uses EPIC/Beacon EMR.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs.
• Administer chemotherapy, immune/biotherapies, blood products, antibiotics, and infusions/injections in an outpatient oncology setting.
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate.
• Previous permanent employees must have a gap of at least 6 months before returning as a traveler.
• RTO should be minimal, with no more than 7 days total and no full calendar weeks off during the assignment.
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; no additional requests will be approved after an offer is made.
