Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a travel assignment in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The OTA will work under the supervision of an OT to implement patient-centered treatment plans, deliver therapeutic activities, monitor progress, and document outcomes across diverse patient populations.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, BLS, NBCOT (COTA), and state licensure. The role spans 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, typically 8-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• State-specific licensure is required.
• BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under supervision of OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT for treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per facility guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
