TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a travel assignment in Haskell, TX. The OTA will work under the supervision of an OT to implement treatment plans, assist with exercises, document progress, and educate patients to improve daily living skills.

The role requires 1 year of OTA experience, BLS, NBCOT (COTA), and state licensure. Lifting patients and collaboration with the care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and assist patients

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
