Job summary

MEP Health in Davis, CA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain daily living skills and improve independence.

Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting progress, providing ADL retraining, restorative programs, fall prevention, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Some travel to nearby facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license required.
• Associate degree in OT from an accredited program.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross preferred; must be current if mandated.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience working with geriatric patients advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
