Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Indiana. Prior IRF experience and BLS certification required. Day shift with 2–3 weekend days per month and no on-call duties.

Minimum 2 years' experience preferred; adult IRF experience strongly preferred. Graduate from an accredited OT program and Indiana license (or applicable license) required. Compensation includes high pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (AHA certification required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Previous IRF experience highly preferred.
• Adult IRF experience strongly preferred; not a fit for candidates with only outpatient, school, or acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 44 beds.
• Adult patient population including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac, and orthopedic cases.
• Typical caseload of 6-7 patients daily.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends (2-3 weekend days per month).
• No call requirements.
• Float requirements to CRHN and CRHW as needed.
• UDS EHR system used.
• Provide comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
• Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs.
• Work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on short length of stay and discharge to home.
• Scrubs of any color except navy blue are required.
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment.
