Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient role at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and coverage across outpatient, acute care, and long-term care settings.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital setting with 40 staffed beds
• Covers Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long Term Care/swing bed units
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• No weekend or call requirements
• Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs across Outpatient, Acute Care, and LTC
• Open to block scheduling accommodations
• Epic charting system used
• Any scrub color accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS and NBCOT certifications required
• AK state license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Experience with diverse work settings including Acute Care and Pediatrics preferred
• Skills in modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapies preferred
• Orthopedic experience including hand injuries, hip and knee replacements preferred
• Prosthetics and orthotics experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted for this role
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
• Facility provides temporary housing for travelers during the assignment
