Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Monterey, California. The role requires OT licensure with NBCOT-OTR and BLS, 6 months of experience preferred, with new grads encouraged to apply.

The assignment runs 13 weeks with 35 hours per week, starting 12/01/2026. Duties include evaluation, treatment planning, education, and documentation in accordance with state and payer guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6 months of OT experience required; new grads may apply.
• NBCOT-OTR certification required with state license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities to meet those goals.
• Assist patients with various disabilities to perform tasks.
• Assess home/workplace and identify potential improvements.
• Educate family and employer on accommodations for the patient.
• Recommend equipment and instruct usage.
• Record patient activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines.
