Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Lake Worth, Florida. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and work in acute care settings, with 40 hours per week and day shifts. 1 year of experience is preferred; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.

New grads are encouraged to apply. Requirements include BLS, NBCOT-OTR certification, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• 6 months of experience may be accepted for exceptional candidates; new grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, observe and evaluate their condition.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities to achieve them.
• Assist patients with activities to overcome disabilities and improve daily living tasks.
• Evaluate a patient’s home or workplace and identify potential improvements.
• Educate patients’ families and employers on accommodating and caring for the patient.
• Recommend equipment and train patients on its use.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians.
