Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 26-week assignment in Pahala, Hawaii. The OT will evaluate patients, develop care plans, and implement treatments in an acute care setting, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour daytime shifts.

Must have 6 months of OT experience (exception for strong backgrounds), plus BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing. Responsibilities include documentation, education of families, and equipment recommendations.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 months of OT experience; new grads welcome.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state license required.
• NBCOT-OTR national certification.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Help patients with daily living tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace and identify improvements.
• Educate family and employer about patient care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct use.
• Document activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
