American Traveler is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for an adult outpatient hand clinic in San Francisco, California. The assignment is 26 weeks, 40 hours per week, day shifts in a 8-hour schedule.

CA OT license and 3+ years of hands-on experience are required; BLS is required. The role may float within the health system; CA-specific hand therapy credentials are preferred.

• Adult outpatient hand clinic experience preferred
• CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred
• AOTA Hand/UE certification preferred
• PAM (modalities) certification preferred in CA

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for adult outpatient hand and upper extremity patients
• Perform modalities and manual therapy including edema massage, electrical stimulation, myofascial release, splinting, and ultrasound
• Fabricate and apply prosthetics/orthotics including static and dynamic splints
• Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety/injury prevention
• Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate as travel positions
• May float within a 75+ mile radius to other facilities within the health system

• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Adult outpatient and hand clinic experience preferred
• CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred
• AOTA Hand/UE certification preferred
• PAM (modalities) certification preferred in CA
• MS/MA degree preferred
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information
