Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. The OT will evaluate and develop plans of care for patients to improve daily living activities, working with diverse patient populations in acute care settings.

Requirements include NBCOT-OTR certification, BLS, and state licensing. The role requires standing/walking for long periods and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of OT experience; new grads encouraged.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR national certification with state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Assist patients in performing tasks and improving daily living skills.
• Evaluate home or workplace for improvements based on health needs.
• Educate family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on proper use.
• Record activities and progress for evaluations and reporting.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines.
