Job summary

Health Here is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate patients in acute care and develop individualized care plans that promote independence.

You will assess medical history, set goals, educate families and employers on home/work adaptations, instruct on equipment use, and document progress, with a 10-hour day shift and 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of OT experience; new grads encouraged.
• Must hold NBCOT-OTR certification and state licensure; BLS required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Job description

• Key Duties: Assess patient conditions, create treatment goals, assist with daily activities, evaluate home/work environments, educate families and employers, recommend and instruct on equipment use, and document progress following healthcare guidelines.
• Perform tasks such as reviewing medical history, observing patient tasks, and developing tailored therapy plans to help patients regain skills and improve independence.
  

Qualifications & Skills: Must have at least 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged), valid NBCOT-OTR certification, state-specific licensure, and BLS certification. Candidates should have a solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods is required.
Additional Requirements: May need additional certifications prior to starting. The role involves working 10-hour day shifts, 30 hours per week, with a focus on delivering quality patient care.
