TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Kensington, MD. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living skills and work-related activities.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of OTA experience, a current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure. Strong communication and the ability to lift patients safely are essential.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification; state licensure required.
Proficient in lifting and assisting patients safely; good communication.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.

Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.

We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Kensington, MD.The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities.As an OTA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.

Requirements*:

* BLS, NBCOT (COTA), 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 30.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
