Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester seeks a Travel Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and develop individualized care plans in an acute care setting. This role includes reviewing histories, creating goals, guiding daily tasks, and educating families and employers.

You will document progress, assess environments, and ensure compliance with standards. 40 hours per week, day shifts, travel assignments with opportunities for additional certifications prior to assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged).
• BLS, NBCOT-OTR certification, state license required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, assess needs and develop goals.
• Develop individualized care plans for patients with disabilities.
• Assist with daily tasks and evaluate home/work environments.
• Educate families and employers; document patient progress.
• Instruct on use of equipment and ensure documentation standards.
