Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care assignment in Walla Walla, WA. The OT will evaluate, plan, and implement care for patients to improve daily living skills, working in varied patient populations.

Requirements include NBCOT-OTR, BLS, state licensing, and ability to stand/walk for extended periods. 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, days shift, with potential supplemental stipends.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of OT experience; new grads may apply.
• NBCOT-OTR certification and BLS required with state licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and observe patients performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with specific goals.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and adaptive tasks.
• Assess home/work environments and suggest improvements.
• Educate family and employers on care requirements.
• Recommend equipment and train patients on usage.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing, and physicians.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines.
