Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit in St. George, Utah. The position requires a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, 1 year of experience, active OT license, and BLS; Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Assignment details include 13 weeks, 36 hours per week (3x12s), days shift, with potential weekend rotations and no on-call requirements. Travel compensation and stipend discussed during offer.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• 1 year of experience preferred for IRF experience.
• Active state OT license required (license if applicable).
• BLS certification required (AHA accepted, must not expire before start).
• NBCOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
• Offer indirect services such as consulting, advising, teaching, and training patients and caregivers.
• Educate and train patients and caregivers on treatment plans.
• May supervise COTAs, aides, and students as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinical setting.
• Maintain clinical documentation including chart notes, evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Record daily charges per billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team; attend clinical meetings.

Requirements

• Master\'s degree in Occupational Therapy required, Doctorate preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous IRF (Inpatient Rehab) experience preferred
• Active state Occupational Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA accepted, must not expire prior to start)
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, and manual dexterity
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
