Critical Connection, inc is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Sheridan, Wyoming. The Hand Therapist (OT) role focuses on evaluation and treatment of the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity in an outpatient/clinical setting.

Ideal candidates hold OT licensure in the state, with a preference for Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or eligibility. Typical duties include casting, manual therapy, and coordinating care with surgeons and physicians.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed OT in the state of practice.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred or eligible for certification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper-extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on referrals and clinical findings.
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques
• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred
