The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of hand therapy experience, licensure as an OT, and a passion for restoring function. This is a travel/local position with a 13-week duration, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in the state of practice.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred or eligible.
• 1–2 years of hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of upper-extremity anatomy and rehab techniques.
• Experience with splint fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper-extremity conditions (post-surgical, fractures, tendon/nerve injuries).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on referrals and findings.
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on prevention, home exercise, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation per facility standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hand Therapist to join our team. This role specializes in the evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and a passion for helping patients regain function, mobility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice
• Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred (or eligibility/interest in obtaining)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques
• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred
