Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Rio Rancho, NM. The OT will work 40 hours per week on days, in an acute care setting, addressing a range of patient needs and goals.

Requirements include 6 months of OT experience (new grads may apply), BLS, NBCOT-OTR certification, and state licensing. Travel positions offer benefits and weekly pay through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• 6 months of OT experience preferred; new grads considered.
• BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; proactivity in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop plans of care aimed at improving daily living skills.
• Create treatment plans with specificGoals and activities to meet patient needs.
• Educate patients' family and employer on care needs and accommodations.
• Assess home/work environments and recommend safety and accessibility improvements.
• Document patient progress and maintain timely records per state/insurer guidelines.
