Job summary

Health First is seeking an experienced Specialty Sonographer to perform cardiology, breast, obstetrics/gynecology, or vascular imaging with focus on quality and patient safety. The role requires ARRT/ARDMS/CCI registries and the ability to follow regulatory guidelines.

Travel between Viera-Palm Bay locations may be required, and a strong emphasis is placed on accurate documentation and teamwork. Applicants should have a radiology/sonography education background, be BLS-certified, and willing to

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology Technology, or Sonography, or Cardiovascular program.
• Must be registered by ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI.
• Must obtain RCCS/RCES/RCIS/RCS/RDCS/RDMS credentials within 2 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior sonography work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity before procedures.
• Complete written and electronic documentation.
• Ensure accurate charges for procedures and supplies.
• Review exam orders prior to exams.
• Perform protocols and produce quality images per standards.
• Position patients correctly and ensure sterile technique.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
