Registered Nurse (RN) - GI Lab
If you are passionate about gastrointestinal health, join us as aRegistered Nurse (RN)in the GI Lab. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for GI procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies by assessing their health status and explaining the process.
- Assist physicians during procedures by administering sedation, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide post-procedure care by monitoring recovery and educating patients on follow-up instructions or dietary recommendations.
- Document patient progress accurately and report any complications promptly to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients managing chronic digestive conditions.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in hospital GI labs or outpatient endoscopy centers equipped with advanced diagnostic tools.
- This position requires attention to detail and strong communication skills when working with patients experiencing sensitive health issues.
