Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stepdown position with a GA or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a progressive care unit (PCU) stepdown setting within a hospital
• Specializes in caring for telemetry patients who require cardiac monitoring
• Night shifts are required and are 12 hours in duration
• This is a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital environment
• Strict rules on requested time off (RTO) apply, with a maximum of five days unless it falls on or near a holiday, in which case three days are allowed
• Only one holiday RTO request is permitted per assignment
• Multiple RTO days during the holiday period must be spread out and not consecutive
• Returning travelers must provide the last five digits of their SSN for consideration

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license must be in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience is required
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Former permanent staff of the associated health system must be separated for at least 1 year prior to returning and 18 months if returning to the same facility
